Business of the Year Program Established
This fall, the Columbia Heights Economic Development Authority (EDA) approved a new Business of the Year nomination program. It will work similarly to the City’s annual Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award. Anyone not on the EDA may nominate a business of their choice. The EDA will review all nominations and make the final selection in April.
The winning business will be highlighted in the City newsletter, receive a plaque at a City Council meeting, and take part in the annual Jamboree Parade. Selections will be based on multiple criteria such as community involvement, major accomplishments, and history with the City. All criteria are listed in the nomination form.
Completed nominations may be emailed to email@example.com or brought to the City Hall Community Development Department at 590 40th Ave NE, Columbia Heights. The nomination deadline is March 27.
