Waste Management of Minnesota
The City of Columbia Heights entered into a five-year contract with Waste Management of Minnesota on January 1, 2018, for garbage and recycling. The hauler will pick up residential refuse, provided it is placed in the proper container. For more information, please visit Waste Management customer support.

Additional Information
Please call Waste Management at 1-888-960-0008 if you have been missed on the collection route, or contact them via their customer support web page.

Commercial and Business Refuse Services
Businesses and other non-residential properties not serviced via the City’s residential contract may arrange for their own service providers.  Also, for information and assistance developing a recycling program for your business visit Anoka County Recycling & Resource Solutions.

Area businesses may also use the City’s Recycling Center to drop off recyclables.

online support form and missed pick ups
Have a comment, complaint, request or missed pick-up? Public Works provides an online support form residents may fill out regarding specific issues with their refuse and recycling service. For missed pick-ups, please be sure to first call Waste Management at 1-888-960-0008, or contact them via their customer support web page, to report the issue ASAP. Then fill out the form here, adding any relevant details to the Additional Info box, to help us track the scale of the problem. If your request relates to the recent WM delay in curbside yard-waste pick-up, please make a note of that on the form with any other relevant details. The City has arranged to fulfill curbside yard-waste service requests on a case-by-case basis until Waste Management services have returned to normal operation. Individual yard-waste pick-up service will occur each Tuesday by request. Fill out the form no later than Monday at noon for that week's Tuesday or Wednesday pick-up. Thank you!
