37th Ave NE Project Update

Crews continue to make headway on the reconstruction of 37^th Ave NE between Central Ave and Stinson Blvd.  Following are the latest updates on this ongoing project:

• Underground storm sewer work continues on the south side of 37^th Ave between Johnson St and Stinson Blvd
• Retaining walls are being built adjacent to the new trail on the north side of 37^th Ave between Central Ave and Johnson St
• The 2^nd and 3^rd layers of asphalt are being paved this week on the north side of 37^th Ave between Central Ave and Johnson St
• Concrete driveways and pedestrian ramps on the north side of 37^th Ave between Central Ave and Johnson St are being poured this week. New concrete will need seven days to fully cure before supporting vehicle traffic.
• Crews continue to correct substandard soil and grading on the south side of 37^th Ave between Johnson St and Stinson Blvd
