Volunteers

The Columbia Heights Public Library will be closed to the public until further notice. All programs through April 30 have been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience and will miss seeing you at our programs. Our website will be updated with more information as it becomes available.



Adults

There are a limited number of adult volunteer positions at the library. Please contact Cortni, the Adult Services Librarian, for more information or an application. Current volunteer opportunities include:

  • Buddy Up and Read- volunteers are paired with a buddy who wants to work on English reading and speaking skills
  • Technology Assistant- spend time helping people with basic computer questions
  • At Home Delivery- bring books to the homes of people who have mobility issues

Teens

Volunteer applications for this summer are available now! Learn more about the library, help your community, meet new people and earn community service hours. For teens ages 13 and older who are self-motivated, reliable, and want to have fun. Training is provided. See Bri, the Youth Services Librarian, for more information. Applications are available at the Ask Me desk at the library.
