Truck or Treat Returns Oct 30, 1-5 pm, in Huset Park

Truck or Treat returns for its fourth year Sat, Oct 30, 1-5 pm, at Huset Park East! We'll be going back to the original set-up after running a drive-thru only event in 2020. Kids and their parents can explore a variety of vehicles, including police cars, fire trucks, tow, dump, garbage, mail trucks, a school bus, and more! Plus there will be a National Guard obstacle course, free candy, food trucks, puppet wagon performances, a pet costume contest, and yard games!

In addition to the organizations that provide their vehicles, Columbia Heights and its City departments will also collaborate with community partners such as SACA Food Shelf & Thrift Store, HeightsNEXT, and the Columbia Heights Lions to help make the event possible.

Kids middle-school aged and younger will receive stamps at each vehicle station they visit and a free treat bag as they leave. Recreation will host two Puppet Wagon shows, 2 pm and 4 pm.

Attendees are encouraged to come in costume. Pets are welcome, too. In fact, there will be a pet costume contest mid-way through the event at 3 pm! Food and beverages for sale, and free hot cider, cocoa, on coffee on site!
