Fireworks Display Set for 10 pm, June 26, in Huset Park
It's a little rainy, but crews are still planning to move forward with the fireworks display in Huset Park.

City Hall will be open during the fireworks display for attendees who want to see the lights but who are sensitive to loud noises. People will be able to watch the fireworks through the City Hall Council Chamber windows. Doors on the Mill St entrance of City Hall will open at 9:30 pm. People will need to take the elevator to the second floor. City staff and Lions Club volunteers will be on site.

The fireworks display, presented by City of Columbia Heights Recreation as part of the Lions Jamboree week of events, will be in Huset Park, Sat, June 26, at dusk (usually about 10 pm). In case of severe rain or other uncooperative weather, the event will be rescheduled for Sunday. The City will post an alert on its front page if the show is canceled.

Fire Department staff and pyrotechnic professionals will be on hand, and the event is following National Fire Protection Association protocol.
