The Columbia Heights Athletic Boosters recently donated $20,000 to Columbia Heights Recreation. Representatives from the Boosters presented a check to Keith Windschitl, recreation director, at the Sept 23 City Council meeting. The Boosters have donated more than $200,000 to the City in just the last 11 years. Historically, that number is over a million.

Volunteers with the organization raise money year-round in support of youth activities and athletics in Columbia Heights. The goal is to ensure every child has access to these enrichment activities regardless of their financial status. The Boosters partner with area businesses and other organizations to raise money for their goal. They regularly donate to Columbia Heights Recreation to help the City continue to provide affordable youth enrichment activities to area kids.
