Fire Dept. Giving Away Free Batteries for Smoke Detectors
One of the best ways to protect your family from the dangers of a house fire is to make sure you have working smoke detectors in the home, which is why the Columbia Heights Fire Department is giving away free 9-volt batteries at the Public Safety Building, 825 41st Ave NE. Please stop in during office hours Mon-Fri, 8 am to 4:30 pm, to pick up new batteries for your smoke detectors.
