University Ave to Reopen Completely Tuesday

There will be one less construction zone to worry about next week as the University Ave resurfacing project finishes well ahead of schedule Tuesday. The road will reopen completely June 12, weather permitting.

University Ave is currently fully open from 44th to 32nd and open to a single lane from 32nd to 27th, and closed at 27th. After the highway is fully open next week, crews will have to finish some work on the side of the road, but that should not disrupt traffic.

Until the project is completed, detours will be marked.

Businesses and residences will remain accessible throughout the project. Sections of the road will be accessible to local traffic only. Go here for more information.
