Repeat Nuisance Call Service Fee

Another city ordinance designed to keep disorder to a minimum is the Repeat Nuisance Call Service Fee sections 8.801 through 8.809.  This ordinance allows the city to impose a fee on property owners for city services rendered (usually police services) due to a pattern of repeated response by city officials.  It applies to all owners and occupants of private property and does not become initiated until the third “nuisance misconduct” incident occurs within a year.  A service call fee is intended to cover costs that are over and above the normal law or code enforcement services provided by police and code officers.  Please read the ordinance for this ordinance’s purpose, scope, applications, and definitions.

The police department is responsible for administering and enforcing the Conduct on Rental Premises, Background Check, and Repeat Nuisance Call Service Fee sections.

For information and questions regarding the police department’s connection with rental property matters, contact Community Policing Coordinator Andy Museus at 763-706-8110.
