Register Now for the 2019 Columbia Heights Police Citizen Academy
Want to learn more about the Columbia Heights Police Department? Come get some behind-the-scenes insights into how we operate at this inaugural course. We’ll be meeting Thursday evenings (April 4, 11, 18 and 25) from 6 to 8:30 pm at the Public Safety building. Topics will include Use-of-Force, De-escalation, Domestic Violence, Drugs and Drug Crimes, and Community and Problem Oriented Policing.

Participants will also have the opportunity to sign up for a demonstration of our firearms range and laser shot decision-making system!

The Citizen Academy is designed for CH residents who are 16 years of age or older. If there are seats available closer to the starting date, we’d be open to including those who work (but don’t live) in Columbia Heights. Our preference is to register people who are able to commit to attending all four sessions, though that is not a requirement.

Contact COP Coordinator Bill Monberg at 763-706-8142 or BMonberg@columbiaheightsmn.gov to reserve your spot.
